Selling Alien Worlds NFTs

A natural byproduct of mining Trillium is having a chance to get NFTs. Every time you mine, the game calculates your chance to get a NFT and rewards you if you’re lucky.

The chance to get a NFT depends on your tools and the land that you’re mining on, and ranges from 0.5% to roughly 20% with the best tools.

Here’s how to earn from selling NFTs in Alien Worlds:

• Alien Worlds NFTs can be sold on the AtomicHub marketplace for WAX tokens
• WAX tokens are the currency of the WAX blockchain, which is powering Alien Worlds
• WAX tokens can be exchanged for TLM on various WAX exchanges, such as alcor.exchange
• You can teleport TLM to Binance by using the Alien Worlds Teleport protocol

What do the Card Stats do?

Now you’ve finished your first mining session you may be wondering what all the numbers on the cards are. These are the cards stats in Alien Worlds:

• Power, Top Left Icon – Increases the amount of Trilium earned
• Proof of Work, Bottom Left Icon – The higher this is the less time it takes to receive your mining results.
• Luck, Bottom Right Icon – Increases your chances of finding an NFT
• Charge Time, Featured in the text box – The amount added to the wait time.

Do you want to stack Power and build your equipment for the maximum TLM yield possible? Maybe you’d prefer to go fully for NFTs? This can be done by maximizing your Luck stat. Perhaps you believe a balance of the two would be better. Alien Worlds lets you make these choices and, refreshingly, doesn’t answer any of these questions for you. Do you go for a fast miner with a low Charge Time with resets often or a slow miner you can leave overnight? The choice is yours to make!

At the start of the game, if you intend to go free-to-play, it may be some time before you find yourself another tool to increase your Luck further. Notably, you may find a tool that has 0 Luck. If your goal is to get NFTs you may not want to use it as it will increase your total mining time but not aid you in getting more NFTs.

Calculating Total Power, Luck and Charge Time

Using Upland Comic’s chart below, it’s possible for you to calculate the potential yield of a mining set-up. Although it may look intimidating on the first inspection, this infographic details exactly how the numbers interact and are calculated. Interestingly, the Charge time is only calculated by the sum of the two largest tools so make sure your lowest charge tool isn’t too far behind your 2nd lowest!

Let’s see what this setup below can do! Remember! It’s: Land Bonus * Sum of Tools (except with Charge time where only the two highest tools are added.)

Power: 1 x (30+1+7) = 21% * Planet’s Current Mining PotCharge Time: 1.2 x (3600+700) = 5,160 seconds (86 minutes)Luck: 1.2 x (10+8+7) = 30% chance of finding an NFT

This loadout focuses on a balance of TLM and NFT mining.

EVALUATION OF ALIEN WORDS

So the alien words certainly impart logic to the otherwise illogical sentence. Let’s evaluate the role of important alien words in choice C to see if they are just making the meaning of the sentence logical or also enhancing the intended meaning.

Reputation: This alien word certainly imparts logic to the sentence. After death, the composer himself does not decline. It is his reputation that declines. So we need this word to make the meaning of the sentence logical.

But: Presence of “but” correctly introduces contrast in the sentence. Many of you may ask, “How do we know that there should be a contrast in this sentence. There is no mention of any contrast in the original sentence.” Well, the context of the sentence tells us that we need a contrast in this sentence.

Logically analyze the sentence. It talks of two scenarios for a composer – one he experiences when he is alive and the other after his death. Both these scenarios are contrasting to each other. When the composer is alive, he gains popularity, but after death his reputation declines. This indeed is contrasting and “but” beautifully brings out that contrast otherwise absent in the original sentence. This is what I call enhancement in the meaning of the sentence.

“But” adds this necessary implied contrast, an important aspect in the sentence, and makes the meaning even better. So the alien words in this sentence not only add logic to the sentence but also enhance the overall meaning of the sentence.

OFFICIAL EXAMPLE – 2

Let’s take one more example here. This is from OG 12#134, again a 700 level question.

MEANING CHANGE:  In this process, the answer choice does not contain any grammatical error, but it certainly changes the original intended meaning of the sentence.

For example, let’s assume that in OG 12#134, option C read: and fatigue among shift workers but have raised. Now grammatically, this choice is sound. However, inclusion of “but” introduces a contrast in this sentence. But this contrast is not intended in the original sentence because implementation of equations lead to two positive outcomes together. We could have used a contrast if the sentence spoke of one positive and one negative effect of the new equations. For example:

The recently implemented “workshift equations” have reduces sickness,… but have reduced their productivity.

Here the use of “but” makes sense because the sentence talks about two contrasting outcomes of the equations.

Recently implemented “shift-work equations” based on studies of the human sleep cycle have reduced sickness, sleeping on the job, fatigue among shift workers, and have raised production efficiency in various industries.

(A)  fatigue among shift workers, and have raised

(B)   fatigue among shift workers, and raised

(C)   and fatigue among shift workers while raising

(D)  lowered fatigue among shift workers, and raised

(E)   and fatigue among shift workers was lowered while raising

Here, the correct answer choice is choice C, with a new word “while”. Let’s see what makes this alien word friendly here and what role it is playing in this one.

Что такое Alien Worlds

В игре имеются земельные участки, можно выбирать аватар, оружие и иные предметы и объекты. Все это считается NFT. Самым главным является земля. На ней можно устанавливать шахты, которые будут приносить прибыль. Этим процессом управляет Федерация.

На каждой планете имеется ограниченное количество земель. Их надо будет приобретать за монеты у федерации, т.е. разработчиков игры. Купив земельный участок игрок может поставить на ней шахту и начать генерировать доход. Либо сдать землю в аренду другому игроку и тем самым тоже получать прибыль. Доходность начисляется в токене TLM.

В игре, как и в реальной жизни существует система налогообложения. Если вы добываете полезные ископаемые на купленной земле, то придётся отчислять 20% от дохода в фонд. Из него впоследствии выплачиваются вознаграждения игрокам при открытии новых земель.

Права и обязанности игроков Alien Worlds

Игроки на платформе называются исследователями. Чтобы принять участие в игре, необходимо создать учетную запись в WAX. После этого можно полноценно играть в Alien Worlds.

Уровни игры

По умолчанию NFT имеют самый низкий уровень, т.е. камень. В зависимости от игрового процесса он будет повышаться.

Есть дополнительное деление на шесть рангов:

Имея первые четыре уровня вы сможете приобрести NFT с большими возможностями. Чтобы достичь более высокого ранга, например, звездная пыль, надо объединить все NFT.

CHARACTERISTICS OF UNFRIENDLY ALIEN WORDS

The unfriendly alien words do just the opposite of what the friendly alien words do. There are three things that they can do:

1. Make the sentence illogical: Sometimes alien words can make a logical sentence absolutely illogical. In such cases they must be rejected right away.
2. Introduce grammatical error: Presence of alien words may lead to grammatical errors such as incorrect sentence structure, redundancy, wrong grammar, etc.
3. Change Meaning: In a grammatically correct choice, we may come across alien words that can change the intended meaning of the sentences. We should be wary of such inclusion in an answer choice.

OG EXAMPLE

For example, take a look at this OG Verbal 2#103 question:

Inuits of the Bering Sea were in isolation from contact with Europeans longer than Aleuts or Inuits of the North Pacific and northern Alaska.

(A)  in isolation from contact with Europeans longer than

(B)   isolated from contact with Europeans longer than

(C)   in isolation from contact with Europeans longer than were

(D)  isolated from contact with Europeans longer than were

(E)   in isolation and without contacts with Europeans longer than

Let’s first get to the meaning of this sentence. Both the Inuits of the Bering Sea and the Aleuts or Inuits of the North Pacific & northern Atlantic were isolated from contact with Europeans. However, the former was in isolation longer than the latter was.

Choice D correctly communicates this meaning. Now look at choice E. It has a few alien words there “and without”. This answer choice is anyway incorrect because it lacks “were” which is needed to make logical comparison clear in the sentence.

Moreover, these new words create new error in the answer choice. The original sentence means that the Inuits of the Bering Sea were isolated from contact with Europeans. But choice E now says that they were in isolation and they were also without contacts from the Europeans. The alien words split the single idea into two ideas. The new words add information here which is not present in the original sentence.

Suppose if this choice had no grammatical error but only these two words – and without – then also the choice would have been incorrect because these new words actually introduce error in the sentence by splitting one idea into two.

Let’s take a quick glance at the characteristics of friendly alien words and unfriendly alien words.

What Does the New Planet Binance Mean for the Metaverse?

Although nobody knows for certain, we hope for great things on Planet Binance! Initially the structural changes include:

• A slight increase in Daily Trilium Allocation to account for another Planet (increase by 1 to NOP), according to the details that can be found in the Technical Blueprint
• The creation of a new Planet Binance account on WAX, which is a “gas planet” (landless) and whose function will be to accrue Trilium
• Accrual of Trilium into Planet Binance, which will fund a “missions game” where holders of TLM on BSC can send spacecraft on missions of defined durations, and receive NFT and TLM rewards

Teleport

The Teleport functionality enables the movement of Trilium between the Ethereum, WAX and BSC chains. Teleport will be re-opened in time for trading of TLM on Binance.com, with more details to follow.

Mining for Trillium

Mining is a core activity in Alien Worlds, and much of the game’s economy revolves around Trillium staking, mining and conversion. Naturally, you have to mine, as mining also rewards NFTs.

How much you can earn from mining in Alien Worlds?

As a complete beginner, you can earn around 1 USD per hour:

• Players usually mine for 1 hour per day, as the process gets rather boring rather quickly
• With a typical beginner’s build, you will complete roughly 15 mining attempts during that hour
• On average, each mining attempt will give you ~0.15 TLM (with a medium charge time land)
• That results in 2.25 TLM per hour, which is roughly 1 USD per hour
• You can teleport TLM to Binance by using the Alien Worlds Teleport protocol and complete the trade there

This seems pretty low, but do remember that we’re talking about earnings you can get as soon as you start playing the game.

Advanced players have access to better mining tools which reward more TLM per mine, so their earnings can easily go from 1 USD to 6 – 10 USD per hour.

What are planets in Alien Worlds?

Planets are the first thing you will see upon starting the game, and they have two main metrics you need to be aware of:

• Mining Pot, which determines how much TLM you will make from mining. Higher is better.
• Fill rate, which is the rate at which the TLM on the planet is being replenished. Higher is better.

If you’re just starting out, it honestly doesn’t matter which planet you choose. A popular pick among players is Neri, but a lot of player just pick whichever one looks most appealing.

If you worried you aren’t making as much TLM as you could be, choose the planet with a good balance of Mining Pot and Fill Rate.

Staking TLM

You can Stake TLM to a planet. This will increase the total available Mining pot of the planet. The more players mine on a particular planet, the lower the mining pot is, so staking is essential to keep the economy a float. When staking, it’s best to join a group of people staking on one particular planet, because the Staked to Mining pot Ratio is about 1,000,000 to 1. Staking in groups is beneficial for everyone.

What is Alien Worlds?

Alien Worlds is a blockchain-based browser game. In Alien Worlds, you play the role of an explorer in the year 2055. The mission? To travel to far-off worlds in order to mine their precious resource, Trilium. Everything in the Alien Worlds Metaverse is tokenized and during your many mining escapades, you might find some unique items in the form of NFTs.

Each NFT in Alien Worlds has a particular in-game function. For example, there are mining tools that you can use to increase your mining efficiency. There are also valuable avatars that an intrepid explorer may use to compensate for the length and girth of their shovel. As you replace and improve your mining equipment, you will be able to mine more Trilium and discover more NFTs. We have already logged out there for you to discover!

Alien Worlds is unique in that it utilizes both the Ethereum and WAX blockchains. Many of its core features utilize smart contracts on the WAX network, such as NFTs, gameplay, DAC governance, voting, and staking. While Trilium, “the metaversal fungible token”, is both an ERC-20 and a WAX token.

How to get started mining?

You will need a WAX account if you do not already have one. Go here and sign up for a free WAX account: https://all-access.wax.io/

Once your WAX account is set up and confirm head over to the Alien Worlds beta site: https://beta.alienworlds.io/

Click Login and use your new WAX credentials to connect. If you run into any problems, make sure you are allowing pop-ups in your browser.

Once you are logged in you will set up your account

1. Set your AlienWorlds Username
2. Select your avatar (you can find new avatars by mining)
3. Agree to the terms and conditions
4. Click “I’m ready”!

Now that your account has been created you are ready to choose a planet to mine on. For now, feel free to choose any planet but we will go over more advanced details later in the guide.

My account has defaulted to Planet Naron. The Current Mining Pot shows the amount of TLM (Trilium) that can be mined from this planet. The Fillrate is how quickly the TLM is being replenished.

Click Let’s start and get to mining!

Next, we get to choose which land we want to mine on. There’s a couple things to consider when choosing a land:

1. Commission Rate – This is the amount of your mined TLM that will go to the land owner. For example if you were to find 100 TLM and the rate is set to 20% you will keep 80 and the owner will get the other 20.
2. TLM Yield Multiplier – In our example above your TLM yield rate will be 1.9x due to the land type
3. Charge Time (mining cooldown) Multiplier – You will have to wait 2x as long to mine again
4. NFT Luck Multiplier – You will have 1.7x chance to find an NFT.

Note – The bottom left number on all of the Land and Items is the Proof of Work Requirement and doesnt seem to affect mining and can be ignored for the time being.

You can choose “Sounds Good” to use the land they have selected for you. If you want to select specific coordinates. You can choose “I want to choose where I mine”

Different land types have different multipliers. You can see all of the different types here: 

As you can see there’s a wide variety of land. You can choose to mine on plains and decrease your cooldown by 0.7x but you will also decrease your TLM mining by 0.6x and NFT by 0.5x

If you dont mind waiting you can mine on an active volcano which will increase your cooldown by 5x but you will also increase TLM & NFT mining by 2.5x

After you select a land you will be taken to the mining hub. The hub shows your land and up to 3 tools that you can use. You will be given a standard shovel to start.

Click the + sign in one of the tool slots to add your shovel.

Click Equip to select the shovel. It will turn green to show that its equipped. Then click the back arrow to go back to the mining hub.

Now that we have selected a land plot and a tool we are ready to mine. As we find more tools we can add them to our hub to increase our TLM yield and chance of finding more NFTs.

There’s 2 steps to mining. First you have to mine, then you have to claim. After these two steps your cooldown will start.

When you are ready, click Mine.

It will take anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds for the mining process to complete. When the mining is completed you will see the claim screen.

Click claim and you will see how much TLM you were able to mine.

After claiming, our hub now has some new information with our TLM totals, cooldown, etc.

1. We can see we received 3.7468 from our mine attempt.
2. Our cooldown has started and we have 3mins 30 secs until we can mine again.
3. If we receive an NFT we will see a notification in our messages.

Once your cooldown is completed you will need to go back to the mining hub. Click mining hub in the bottom left corner or click the back button in the top right corner.

Mining

As we already shared, Mining is the key element of game play in Alien Worlds. There are two phases of mining:

1. Mining and
2. Waiting for your tools to recharge

In order to mine, press the Mine button and follow through the process. The game will reward you with TLM and a timer will be displayed in the top right corner of the UI. You can’t mine before this timer runs out.

The time you have to wait to mine is dependent on your Tools and Land cool down, while the time you spending mining is dependent on luck and your physical computer.
